길주요 목엽문 천목찻잔 중국 장시성(江西省) 지안시(吉安市) 송대(960~1279년)의 길주요(吉州窯)에서 제작된 목엽문 완(木葉文 碗), 흔히 '목엽천목(木葉天目)'이라 불리는 찻잔입니다. 검은색 유약을 입힌 그릇 위에 실제 나뭇잎(주로 뽕나무 잎 등)을 얹은 뒤 고온에서 구워냈습니다. 예술적 가치가 뛰어난 천목찻잔은 소성 과정에서 나뭇잎이 타고 남은 성분이 유약과 화학 반응을 일으켜, 나뭇잎의 섬세한 잎맥과 형태가 황갈색으로 잔 내부에 영구적으로 스며들 듯 남게 되는 독보적인 전통 도예 기법입니다. 자연과 불의 조화가 만들어낸 걸작으로 평가받습니다.
