1988년 4월 9일은 세토대교(瀬戸大橋) 개통과 함께 우코(宇高) 철도연락선이 마지막 운항을 한 날입니다. 우코 연락선이란? 한일합방조약이 있었던 1910년부터 오카야마현 우노항 ↔ 가가와현 다카마쓰항 사이를 연결한 철도연락선입니다. 철도 객차와 화물을 그대로 배에 실어 나르는 일본 철도의 상징적인 노선이었습니다. 그러나 1988년 4월 9일 세토대교 개통으로 폐지되었습니다.
