Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 8, 2026
We use your information to buy, receive and ship your orders. Optional analytics start only with your permission. You can request access, correction or deletion at support@shipsfromkorea.com.
Information and purposes
- Account: name, email and authentication details to create and secure your account.
- Orders: product links, item details, options and messages to purchase and inspect your items.
- Delivery: recipient name, address and phone at checkout; customs or tax identifiers when your destination or carrier requires them.
- Payments: transaction identifiers, amounts and payment status for settlement and refunds. Card details are handled by the payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
- Support: your inquiry and our replies to resolve questions or disputes.
Service providers and recipients
The provider used depends on your payment method, delivery service and enabled features. We share only the information needed for that service.
- PayPal, Airwallex and PortOne: payment, payment verification and refunds.
- FedEx, UPS, YunExpress, Korea Post and SF Express, and relevant customs authorities: delivery, tracking and customs clearance.
- Supabase: account, database and private photo storage. Vercel: website hosting. Resend: transactional email. Sentry: error monitoring with sensitive-field filtering.
- Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics and our own event store: optional usage analysis after consent.
- Discord: staff order notifications. Korean sellers: information required to purchase the requested items.
- OpenStreetMap address search: receives the address you type only when you enable the optional address-search feature.
We do not sell personal information. Providers and carriers may process data outside your country. Processing location, retention and safeguards depend on the contracted service and shipping destination. Contact us for information about the providers and transfers used for your order.
Cookies and optional analytics
Essential cookies support login and checkout. Analytics are optional: allow or reject them in Privacy settings at the bottom of each public page. You can change your choice or withdraw consent there. Your choice lasts up to 180 days. Withdrawal stops future analytics and removes analytics identifiers from this browser.
Our event store records the page category, device class and limited workflow events. It excludes full URL queries, referrers and customer identifiers. Its session identifier expires after 30 minutes; raw events are retained for 90 days. Google manages its own analytics identifiers under its privacy policy.
Retention and account deletion
- Account and saved address data: while you use the account, then removed through the account-deletion process.
- Contracts, cancellation, payment and supply records: 5 years where Korean e-commerce record-retention requirements apply.
- Consumer complaints and dispute records: 3 years. Records required for an ongoing legal matter may be retained until that matter is resolved.
- Inspection photos: normally kept for one year after order completion, then queued for deletion. An unresolved dispute or legal hold may require longer retention. Photos may be removed sooner when no longer needed.
- Successful email-delivery payloads in our application: 30 days. Unresolved or cancelled deliveries: up to 90 days for investigation and resolution. Staff access logs: 1 year.
Before closing your account, complete open orders, resolve support requests and settle any credit balance. Legally required records are retained separately with restricted access. Account, photo and authentication cleanup can finish in separate steps; failed cleanup is retried. Provider copies and backups follow the applicable retention and deletion process, so deletion is not necessarily immediate in every system.

Your choices and rights
You can update account and address information, change analytics preferences, and request a copy, correction or deletion of your information. You may also request restriction or object to processing where applicable. Contact support@shipsfromkorea.com; we may verify your identity before releasing or changing records. Declining optional analytics does not prevent shopping.
Security and updates
We use encrypted connections, access controls and private photo storage. Warehouse access is separated from full administration. Staff must complete two-step verification; customers can set it up in account security settings. We update this policy when processing changes and publish the revision date here.
